Situated in the wind-rich region of Alxa, this project employs a modular PCS solution designed specifically to mitigate wind power curtailment. It captures wind energy that would otherwise be lost during periods of low grid demand.
The scale of generation is massive, producing 390 million kWh annually. This stored energy allows for a more consistent injection of wind power into the grid, smoothing out the natural intermittency of the resource.
The environmental contribution is equivalent to planting 410,000 trees, resulting in a carbon reduction of 305,000 tons. This project highlights the critical role of storage in unlocking the full potential of large-scale wind farms.
