SINEXCEL announces the grid connection of its battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Vietnam, a 2.5 MW/5 MWh installation deployed in partnership with Great Power and local EPC partner XCE Energy for Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN).
The project deploys two SINEXCEL StellaON 1250K power conversion units and a 5 MWh Great Power battery container, feeding into a 22 kV substation through an integrated step-up transformer cabin to deliver peak shaving, frequency regulation, and energy arbitrage services. Designed as a validation platform, the project enables EVN to assess diverse energy storage use cases across its national grid infrastructure.
The StellaON series is SINEXCEL's latest utility-scale PCS solution, built to maximize energy value through omni-adaptability across environments, loads, and grid conditions.
Vietnam's tropical climate, with its sustained high temperatures, humidity, and salt-laden coastal air, is notoriously demanding on power electronics. The StellaON 1250K is engineered to maintain full rated power performance under 55°, avoiding the efficiency losses and accelerated degradation that conventional equipment typically suffers in such environments.
The StellaON series has already secured key European certifications, including CE electrical safety (EN 62477), dynamic grid compliance (EN 50549), and electromagnetic compatibility (EN IEC 61000), ensuring readiness for the world's most regulated energy markets.
Vietnam is one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing electricity markets, with surging industrial demand and an ambitious renewable energy roadmap placing unprecedented strain on its grid infrastructure. This project delivers a tangible solution at the substation level and opens the door for wider adoption of storage technology across the country's power network.
The milestone adds to an extensive global footprint. SINEXCEL's solutions are certified in over 40 countries, with deployments spanning more than 60 markets and a cumulative installed capacity exceeding 17GW/50GWh across 5,000+ projects. A worldwide after-sales network of over 10+ service centers ensures rapid on-site support, underscoring the company's commitment to long-term operational reliability for every project it delivers.
Founded in 2007, SINEXCEL is a pioneer in energy storage, EV charging, and power quality solutions. With 17 GW of installed storage, 200,000 EV DC chargers, and nearly 20 million amperes of Active Harmonic Filter deployed, SINEXCEL partners with industry leaders to empower energy freedom.
