Planning to take an EV into the mountains? The usual concerns are finding a charger far from the city and waiting in line during peak travel season.
In Chiang Mai, both are becoming easier to manage.
Together with PEA, and TCE, SINEXCEL is helping build the Zero-Carbon Chiang Mai Green Corridor. The corridor brings fast charging to the Old City and key mountain routes, giving EV drivers more places to recharge along the way.
PEA is a state enterprise under Thailand's Ministry of Interior and distributes electricity across 74 provinces.
Large-scale fast-charging demonstration sites along the route help drivers recharge and keep moving, even during busy travel periods.
At the charging sites, drivers can expect:
⚡ Around 30 minutes of charging for up to 450 km of range, about the time it takes to enjoy a coconut.
